Garrett Warhurst grew up being involved in all kinds of sports with perhaps his greatest love being baseball. Garrett loved the competition, savored the victories but perhaps most enjoyed being a teammate. To honor and perpetuate Garrett’s memory a memorial scholarship fund has been established where each year one or more deserving soon to be college freshmen who participate in the Johnson County 3 & 2 Baseball sports league will be awarded a $1000 scholarship.

I have never known someone that was loved by so many; social groups had no effect on your loving reach into all who were around you. You were, are, and forever will be one of my closest, dearest, and best friends. I love you with all of my being and will carry you in my heart and mind until the day I die.”
